Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of security to your account. After entering your password, you also provide a time-based code from an authenticator app on your phone.

Enabling 2FA

1
Go to your Account page
Navigate to uvagatron.com/account and find the Security section.
2
Click “Enable 2FA”
Click the button to begin the setup process. A QR code will be displayed on screen.
3
Scan the QR code
Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, or any TOTP-compatible app) and scan the QR code. A new entry for uvagatron.com will appear in your app.
4
Enter the 6-digit code
Enter the 6-digit code shown in your authenticator app to verify the setup. The code changes every 30 seconds.
5
Save your recovery codes
After verification, you will be shown a set of one-time recovery codes. Save these in a secure location. Each recovery code can only be used once.
Important
Store your recovery codes in a safe place — a password manager, a printed copy in a secure location, or an encrypted file. If you lose access to your authenticator app, recovery codes are the only way to regain access to your account.

Logging In with 2FA

Once 2FA is enabled, the login process requires two steps:

  • Enter your email and password as usual
  • Enter the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app when prompted

If you do not have access to your authenticator app, click “Use a recovery code” on the verification screen and enter one of your saved recovery codes.

Disabling 2FA

To disable two-factor authentication:

  • Go to your Account page and find the Security section
  • Click “Disable 2FA”
  • Enter your current 6-digit authenticator code to confirm the change

After disabling, your account will only require a password to log in. Any remaining recovery codes will be invalidated.

Recommendation
We strongly recommend keeping 2FA enabled, especially if you use API keys or monitor sensitive companies. Two-factor authentication protects your account even if your password is compromised.
